At the invitation of Ningbo Municipal Government, Pit Heltmann, Consul General of Germany in Shanghai, and his delegation visited Ningbo on January 25-26. At 12 noon on January 26, Vice Mayor Li Guanding met with the delegation.

During the meeting, Vice Mayor Li Guanding said that Ningbo and Germany had frequent and close interactions, in-depth practical cooperation, and extensive fields of exchanges. Germany had valuable experience in the manufacturing industry, while Ningbo's ports, foreign trade and manufacturing industry were full of vitality, so there was huge potential for bilateral cooperation. We hoped that both sides could take this visit as an opportunity to promote mutual understanding and trust, further enhance the scope and depth of cooperation, expand cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, science and technology, industry, culture and so on, pushing the bilateral exchanges to a higher level and achieving new results on bilateral cooperation. Pit Heltmann spoke highly of Ningbo's achievements in recent years, and said that he would endeavor to build bridges of communication and cooperation between the two sides, and be committed to broaden in-depth cooperation and achieve bilateral win-win cooperation.
