On April 6, Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office held a virtual meeting with Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Mr. Ye Rongzhong, Director General of Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, and Mr. Jiao Shuanglin, Deputy Director General of Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, attended the meeting, and conducted friendly negotiations with Rainer Spenger, Vice Mayor of Wiener Neustadt, on matters including the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the sister-city relationship between the two cities and the further development of exchanges and cooperation.

As a developed economy and a country of splendid culture and art, Austria has an important influence in Central Europe. Located in the southern Austria, Wiener Neustadt has a long history and emerging high-tech industries. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Austria, as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly exchange relations between Ningbo and Wiener Neustadt. The two cities reached a consensus that we should take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, education, and culture in an all-round way, and open a new chapter for the development of our friendly relations.
