Last month, the Signing Ceremony of Nordic Aqua RAS Atlantic Salmon Project Stage Ⅲ was held in Xiangshan County, Ningbo. Guests attending the ceremony included relevant officials and leaders from Xiangshan County Government and Party Committee, Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, Ningbo Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Ningbo Investment Promotion Bureau, and representatives from Norwegian Embassy in China and the China Office of Innovation Norway.

Nordic Aqua RAS Atlantic Salmon Project is an exemplary case of China-Norway cooperation. The Atlantic Salmon of Stage Ⅰ of the Project successfully came into the market in April this year. It is said that the annual production capacity of the relevant company, Nordic Aqua (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., will be increased to 20,000 tons after the completion of the Stage Ⅲ of the Project.

Mr. Ove Nodland, President of Nordic Aqua (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., comes from Stavanger, Ningbo's sister city in Norway. He has worked and lived in Ningbo for over two decades, and has established the Nordic Industrial Park and Nordic Aqua (Ningbo) Co. Ltd. He has been awarded the title of Ningbo's Honorary Citizen due to his outstanding contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields between Ningbo and Norway.

Mr. JIAO Shuanglin, Deputy Director-General of Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, was invited to attend the ceremony. He exchanged ideas on further enhancing cooperation with Mr. Henning Kristoffersen, Commercial Counselor of Norwegian Embassy in China, and Mr. Nodland.
