From May 23 to 25, the delegation of over 30 journalists of mainstream media of Central and Eastern European countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and so on, visited Ningbo.
During their two day's visit, the delegation not only attended important events, including the 8th Meeting of China-CEEC Business Council, "Hi-GO" CEEC Products Shopping Festival, Round Table for Journalists of China and CEE Countries, and CEEC Week Ningbo Symphony Concert, but also experienced Chinese intangible cultural heritage programs and visited Ningbo's landmarks, such as Zhejiang Fashion Institute of Technology, Chuanshan Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Ningbo Museum and so on. The narratives of Ningbo in their reports would become a channel for Central and Eastern European countries to learn about Zhejiang and China.
"The Chinese Modernization in all aspects and China's thousands of years of history and traditional culture have given us a deep impression, and we hope to convey the real picture of the Chinese Modernization to people in my country via media," said Mr. Gligo Tomanovic, head of the delegation and Executive Manager of Radio Television Herceg Novi in Montenegro.
"This is my second visit to China. The speed of China's development, like the speed of the high-speed railway we took yesterday, is astonishing. Just as the Ningbo Zhoushan Port connecting China to the world closely, we media professionals should also strive to promote people-to-people exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European countries," said Ms. Jona Hasija, TV Producer and journalist of TopChannel in Albania.
Mr. Matus Plecho, cameraman of World and Time Network Television in Slovakia, loved to capture life moments with his camera. The photos he took in Ningbo on May 23 of the 8th Meeting of China-CEEC Business Council appeared in Slovak media reports on the same day.
Ms. Denisa Petrilakova, founder of the Czech news network gnews.cz, was the only member of the delegation that could speak to us in Chinese. She studied Chinese at university and was determined to report the stories of China to Czech readers in an objective and truthful manner. In Ningbo, she learnt about the strength and advanced technology of Chinese manufacturing and shot every moment with her camera.
"I have been paying attention to China's cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, and have been to BYD's digital workshop before, marvelling at the rapid development of China's smart factories. This time in Zhejiang Fashion Institute of Technology, we visited the digital future factory and saw the intelligent suspension system set up the 'Corridor in the Air' and the big screen display production data. We have witnessed the strength of China's intelligent manufacturing in Ningbo," said Denisa.
