On July 8, the event for Ningbo-Hungary economic, trade and cultural exchanges was successfully launched in Ningbo. Co-hosted by the Ningbo Municipal Government and the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, this event consisted of Hungary Day in Ningbo for Business and Tourism, Hungary Week in Ningbo and Hungary Food Promotion Month.

On the afternoon of July 8, Hungary Day in Ningbo for Business and Tourism was held first. Ms. YE Miao, Member of Party Leadership Group of Ningbo Municipal Government, heads of the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, and a total of nearly 60 representatives from Ningbo's relevant departments, enterprises in investment and trade cooperation with Hungary, travel agencies and relevant universities, attended the meeting.

Ms. YE Miao said in her speech that this year marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between China and Hungary, and the bilateral all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era offered new opportunities to, injected new impetus into and created a new chapter for the bilateral cooperation in various areas. She hoped that in the future, Ningbo would work together with Hungary to build new platforms for openness and cooperation, explore new fields for regional cooperation and yield new fruits for people-to-people exchanges, thereby playing its crucial role in China-Hungary cooperation.

Mr. Szilard Bolla, Consul General of Hungary in Shanghai, delivered a speech, and introduced Hungarian business environment. Mr. Janos Robert Fule, Diplomat for Culture and Education Affairs, introduced Hungarian cultural tourism resources. The two sides made in-depth discussions on matters relating to exchanges and cooperation.

After the event, Hungary Week in Ningbo was officially launched. Dancers from Hungary performed traditional Hungarian dances, and chefs from Hungarian embassies cooked Hungarian special cuisines for guests, with the Hungary Food Promotion Month being launched in the meantime.
