On September 19, 2024, Mr. WEI Hongtian, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Grenada, attended the launching ceremony of road renovation in Saint Patrick Parish, Grenada funded by the Chinese Embassy. During the ceremony, he handed over computers to the information center of the Parish, and signed an agreement on behalf of Ningbo with the Parish of becoming international friendly cooperative cities. The national television of Grenada reported the event on the site.

The Ambassador said that the Chinese Embassy worked together with the Parish and carried out many small community projects with the aim to benefit local people, support infrastructure construction and improve people's wellbeing. The establishment of the international friendly cooperative cities relationship between Ningbo and Saint Patrick Parish will further promote sub-national exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and promote people-to-people exchanges.

Local officials of the Saint Patrick Parish delivered speeches in the ceremony, expressing sincere gratitude to the Chinese Embassy on behalf of local people and speaking highly of China's people-centered development idea and remarkable accomplishments. They said in the speeches that the Parish was willing to enhance exchanges and mutual learning with Ningbo to promote mutually-beneficial cooperation and people-to-people connectivity as well as enrich the bilateral relationship between China and Grenada.
