On the evening of October 17, Mr. Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress, met with the "2025 Envoys' Tour to Zhejiang Province" delegation, which included diplomats and representatives from over 10 countries and international organizations. Also attending were Mr. Yao Shaojun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs Management at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yao Guowen, Deputy Director-General of Department of Foreign Affairs of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, and Mr. Chen Guojun, Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress.

Mr. Zhang Ping welcomed the delegation and delivered a brief speech on Ningbo's development. He said, "President Xi Jinping introduced the Double-Eight Strategy while serving in Zhejiang. Guided by this strategy, Ningbo is developing new quality productive forces, advancing common prosperity initiatives, implementing Chinese modernization at the municipal level, and striving to become a coastal metropolis. I hope the visit will deepen your understanding of Ningbo's economic and social progress and help you discover opportunities for cooperation with Ningbo. I also hope foreign embassies in China will continue to facilitate economic, industrial, and cultural exchanges, strengthen subnational ties, and pursue mutually-beneficial growth."

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Koula Sophianou, Ambassador of Cyprus to China, thanked Ningbo for its warm hospitality. She spoke highly of Ningbo's achievements in industrial development and ecological conservation. "We will use this visit to draw on Ningbo's best practices, explore potential sister-city partnerships, deepen friendship, and strive for shared development."

During their stay, the delegation visited Wandi Village in Yinzhou District, the Meishan Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, and the ZEEKR Factory in Meishan.
