From March 4 to 5, Dr. Andreas Riecken, Ambassador of Austria to China, and Mr. Helmut Rakowitsch, Consul General of Austria in Shanghai, led a delegation to visit Ningbo. They learned about the city's economic and social development, as well as its exchanges and cooperation with Austria. They also attended the honorary doctorate awarding ceremony for Prof. Pao Pui Hing, a prominent figure of the Ningbo Business Community in Hong Kong.

On March 4, Mr. PENG Jiaxue, Secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, held a group meeting with Ambassador Riecken and other distinguished guests.

During their stay in Ningbo, the delegation visited Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group, Tianyige Museum, and Ningbo Grand Theatre, and held a meeting with the head of Ningbo Symphony Orchestra to learn about the orchestra's experience of going on a performance tour in Austria and hosting a vocal music competition in Vienna. Ambassador Riecken spoke highly of Ningbo's fruitful cooperation with Austria in areas including economy and trade, culture, and sister city relations.
