On March 4, Ms. BAO Xianping, Director-General of Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, met with Ms. Jennie Chen, Consul General of Canada in Shanghai, and her delegation.

Director-General BAO warmly welcomed the Consul General and her delegation on their first visit to Ningbo, and provided a brief overview of the city's economic and social development. She noted that Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office is willing to strengthen communication with Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, work together to facilitate connections between Canadian and Ningbo government departments, industry associations, enterprises, and universities, and build more platforms for cooperation. She emphasized the goal of further deepening collaboration in areas such as trade, education, port development, and sister-city relations, while expanding exchanges between the people of both sides.

Consul General Chen said that She was deeply impressed by Ningbo on the first visit. She expressed hope that both sides would further strengthen economic and trade exchanges, deepen cooperation in the field of education, and make full use of port resources to carry out more fruitful exchanges and cooperation activities. The Consulate General, she added, will continue to actively promote collaboration between the two sides across various fields.

During their stay in Ningbo, the delegation also visited Ningbo City Exhibition Hall and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group.
